Siniat Weather Defence is an external sheathing board faced with water repellent materials for superior weather protection, high thermal efficiency and airtight properties. The gypsum core property of Weather Defence means the product can offer superior moisture, fire and sound resistance. Ideal for external insulation and finishing systems, Siniat Weather Defence is a cost effective solution ideal for external insulation and finishing systems. The board is dimensionally stable, mould resistant, can be left exposed for up to 12 months on site and eliminates the need for breathable membrane saving time and reducing installed cost. The building board is easy to install and can be cut using the ‘score and snap’ method, meaning there is no dust or flying fragments and less waste. The board can be used with steel infill panels, full light steel framing as well as timber and concrete frame constructions. Siniat Weather Defence is Double BBA (British Board of Agrément) certified and fully A1 non-combustible, compliant for structures above 18m.
